I know that everyone is excited to get vaccinated and that continues to be welcome news! Getting our community vaccinated and protecting our most vulnerable from COVID-19 continues to be our top priority.
I am happy to announce that in addition to groups currently eligible the following groups can now book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment through Halton’s online booking system:
- all Halton residents 75 and older (born in 1946 or earlier); and
- Indigenous adults 55+ (including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit populations).
Appointments are available for booking in March and April.
This is another important step in our plan to get Halton residents vaccinated as quickly as possible. Thank you to Halton Region, Joseph Brant Hospital and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital staff who have been working tirelessly to open our vaccination clinics in each of our municipalities, and our teams who have been doing a tremendous job administering vaccinations.
How to book an appointment
Eligible residents can continue to book appointments using our easy online booking system. While booking online is the fastest way to schedule an appointment, residents who require assistance can also call 311. Bookings are not available through the Provincial system; if you access the Provincial system, you will be redirected back to our system.

Indigenous consultation and engagement
Halton Region continues to follow Provincial directions on eligibility, including vaccinating vulnerable populations as part of the Province’s three-phase vaccine implementation plan (external link. To ensure Indigenous voices were included in decision-making for Halton’s COVID-19 Vaccination Program, the Region initiated engagement with Indigenous communities and organizations in and around Halton, including the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Credit River Métis Council, Indigenous Affairs Ontario, Urban Indigenous Organizations servicing the GTHA and highly regarded Indigenous healthcare professionals. These engagements will continue to ensure that Halton’s clinics are respectful of both the priority given to vaccinating this population and Indigenous cultures.
Thank you to all our residents for working together to keep Halton a great place to live, work, raise a family and retire and above all – keeping each other safe! It is incredible how our community has persevered over the last year, so let’s continue to protect each other as vaccinations continue to roll out in our community!
