Building a Better Halton Together

As Halton continues to grow, so does our need for strong, reliable infrastructure. We’re seeking your input on two key projects that will benefit our community in the years ahead.

We’re planning for a better Regional Road 25 in Oakville and Milton

To keep traffic moving, improve safety, and meet future demand, we’re considering a wide range of improvements along Regional Road 25, from Speers Road to Derry Road (Regional Road 7), including road widening, active transportation, intersection improvements and more.

These improvements will help:

  • reduce congestion and travel times
  • enhance pedestrian and cyclist safety
  • support future residential and commercial development

Mid-Halton Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades in Oakville

To meet future demands and support growth into 2031, we're looking at upgrades to increase the capacity of the Mid-Halton Wastewater Treatment Plant from 125 million litres per day (ML/d) to 175 ML/d.

The upgrades will help:

  • maintain reliable wastewater services
  • provide capacity for new homes and businesses
  • ensure compliance with environmental standards
  • support sustainable growth across the region
