International Women’s Day is on , and I want to extend my appreciation to all the remarkable women across Halton Region who help shape our community, strengthen our services, and make our region one of the best places to live, grow and thrive.
Throughout this week, we highlighted six incredible women who represent the dedication and leadership found across our organization:
- Dharali, who supports environmental protection and safe wastewater treatment at the Skyway Wastewater Treatment Plant.
- Nahal, who provides inclusive, accessible care at our Sexual Health Clinic.
- Jaime, who leads our Facilities team and ensures our building systems run smoothly and that our public spaces are welcoming, safe and accessible for our visitors.
- Jasreet, who helps staff stay connected and supported through our IT Help Desk.
- Kavita, who ensures strong financial stewardship and responsible investment of public resources.
- Isa, who delivers high‑quality, person‑centred care at Post Inn Village Long‑Term Care Home.
These stories are just a glimpse of the expertise, dedication and professionalism demonstrated by women across Halton every day. I want to thank each of these individuals for sharing their stories, giving us an insight into their work, and inspiring countless others.
Thank you for helping move Halton forward and supporting our community to live, grow and thrive!
