Every March, Halton Region proudly welcomes United Way Halton & Hamilton representatives to Council Chambers for our annual Employee Campaign cheque presentation – a tradition that reflects more than three decades of generosity, teamwork, and community spirit.
This year, we were thrilled to celebrate yet another milestone. Thanks to the dedication and creativity of our United Way Committee, Halton Region received the Collaboration in Action Committee Award – a meaningful recognition of the passion our staff bring to this campaign year after year.
Since 1991, Regional employees have raised more than $3.7 million to support United Way programs across our community. This year’s contribution – $93,755 – will help fund local programs that provide food support, transitional housing, mental health services, and other vital resources for residents who need them most.

We were pleased to welcome Brad Park, President and CEO of United Way Halton & Hamilton, to accept this year’s donation. His leadership – and the tireless work of his team – continues to bring hope, stability, and opportunity to people across our region.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank‑you to our United Way Committee and every Regional staff member who contributed to this year’s campaign. Whether you volunteered behind the scenes, participated in events like Trivial Pursuit or the annual 5K run or donated monthly through the payroll contribution program, your energy and enthusiasm brought this campaign to life.

Each contribution, big or small, reflects the compassion and community spirit of the team at Halton Region.
Your efforts don’t just raise funds – they offer hope and opportunity to children, youth, families and seniors who rely on United Way services.
Thank you for all you do to help people live, grow, and thrive in Halton!
