Replacement, Rehabilitation or Relocation of the Aldershot Creek Wastewater Main - City of Burlington - PR-3404
Study
Halton Region has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) Study for the Aldershot Creek wastewater main in the City of Burlington. The existing wastewater main is located within the Aldershot Creek valley and is nearing the end of its useful life. The MCEA Study has developed and evaluated a variety of relocation, replacement and/or rehabilitation alternatives that consider the existing environment as well as public and stakeholder input.
Process
The study is being conducted as a Schedule B undertaking in compliance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, amended 2007, 2011 and 2015), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
A key component of the study is consultation with interested stakeholders (members of the public and regulatory agencies) through a Public Information Centre (PIC). The purpose of this PIC is to present and obtain public input on the alternative options and evaluation process, as well as the preliminary preferred solution.
Members of the public can visit the online consultation webpage on halton.ca to learn more about the study, view a video with project details and provide feedback through an online comment form.
Online PIC details:
- Start date: March 30, 2023
- Virtual: Visit the Opportunities to Participate page
We ask that specific feedback related to this PIC be submitted by April 20, 2023 using the online form.
