Study
Halton Region is carrying out a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) study for Trafalgar Road (Regional Road 3) from Highway 407 (ETR) to Steeles Avenue (Regional Road 8), in the Towns of Halton Hills, Milton and Oakville. The MCEA study is considering a wide range of multi-modal transportation improvements including roadway widening, cross-sectional requirements, active transportation, transit-supportive infrastructure, intersection improvements, and overall traffic operations. The impacts of the transportation improvements on the social, cultural, and natural environments will be assessed and evaluated through the study.
Process
The study is being carried out in accordance with Schedule C of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA), (October 2000, as amended 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2023), which is an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
A key part of the study involves consultation with interested parties, including the public and review agencies, through Public Information Centres (PIC). The first PIC aims to review and gather input on the study area’s needs and opportunities, provide background information, select the preliminary preferred solution, and outline next steps in the study.
We want to hear from you!
Anyone with an interest in this study is invited to participate virtually. Members of the public can visit the online consultation webpage to view pre-recorded videos about the study, provide feedback through an online survey and learn more. The online PIC will be available as follows:
