Waste collection delays due to winter weather

Waste Collection Delay: Please be advised that all scheduled waste collection services is delayed by one day for the remainder of the week due to Monday's significant snowstorm. Please check to ensure crews can see and access your Blue Box, Green Cart and garbage materials safely by placing bins in a clear snow-free space.

Christmas Tree Collection Delay: Due to an accumulation of snow, and shortage of collection crews related to covid pandemic, Christmas Tree collection will be cancelled this week and will resume next week. Households may place their trees curbside on their regularly scheduled collection day the week of January 24. As a reminder, residents are required to ensure trees are not stuck in snow banks, and easily accessible to collection crews. Collection this week will focus on Blue Box, Green Cart and Garbage.

During the winter, please remember to:

  • Ensure materials are set out before 7 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
  • Do not place your Green Cart, Blue Box or garbage on top of or behind snow banks.
  • Ensure your Blue Box, Green Cart and garbage materials are visible to collection crews by placing bins in a clear snow-free space.
  • Remove waste material buried under snow banks after snowfall.

If your material was not collected because it was buried under snow or incorrectly placed, please set it out for curbside pickup on your next scheduled collection day.
