- Learn more about the respiratory diseases you’ll be seeing in your practice this fall and winter and how to prevent them through effective immunization, including expanded RSV eligibility. Join Halton Region’s Associate Medical Officers of Health, Dr. Patrick Galange and Dr. Joanna Oda, to learn about:
- the epidemiology of key respiratory pathogens (Influenza, RSV, COVID-19);
- RSV, COVID-19 and Influenza vaccine guidance for the fall 2025-26 campaign;
- immunization eligibility and recommendations for RSV, COVID-19, Influenza and Pneumococcal vaccinations;
- IPAC recommendations for various respiratory pathogens; and
- symptoms, testing and management guidelines for COVID-19, influenza and RSV.
- For the best experience, use a laptop or desktop, have the Teams app installed and test your internet connection beforehand. Recording will be emailed to all registrants after the event.
Additional upcoming education sessions
- Halton Physician Association Clinic Day (external link), an in-person event on October 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in the John Oliver auditorium. Register online (external link) (tickets are $50) and join experts in pediatrics, dermatology, gynecology and more.
- ECHO Community of Practice for Child and Youth Mental Health Cycle 20 (external link) is still open for registration. Sessions run Tuesdays at noon for one hour (1 CME credit/hour, 24 for entire series with no obligation to attend every session). Members of Halton Physician Association recommend this program as user friendly and very applicable to patients and practice. Each session provides great resources around a particular mental health issue/diagnosis including online and community resources for parents and caregivers.
