Quick facts
- Halton Region’s administrative offices will be closed from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, to Thursday, January 1, 2026, and will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026.
- Vaccine distribution will be unavailable during the closure.
- Refer to the order cut-off dates and distribution schedule below to ensure your facility receives vaccines before the holiday closure.
- Abrysvo™, was previously in limited supply and was prioritized for pregnant individuals. Additional supply has since been secured, and this product is now being distributed to support the Older Adult RSV Prevention Program.
- Abrysvo™ can now be used for eligible older adults and pregnant people. Adult RSV vaccine orders will be fulfilled with either Abrysvo™ or Arexvy®, depending on availability at the PHU.
- The Ontario Ministry of Health has indicated that MenQuadfi™ will replace Menactra® as the Men-C-ACYW-135 product beginning in early 2026.

Adult RSV Program Vaccine Update
- Abrysvo™ and Arexvy® are the two publicly funded vaccines authorized by Health Canada for the prevention of RSV lower respiratory tract disease in adults 60 years of age and older.
- The Health Unit has now received sufficient inventory of AbrysvoTM and will be fulfilling your Adult RSV orders with either Abrysvo™ or Arexvy® based on availability.
- Abrysvo™ should no longer be reserved only for pregnant individuals. It can be administered to all adults that meet the eligibility criteria for the Infant and Adult RSV Prevention Program (external link).
Men C-ACYW Product Change
MenQuadfi™ will be replacing Menactra® as the Men C-ACYW product under the publicly funded immunization program in early 2026. Distribution to health care providers will begin as soon as the product is received from the Ministry of Health and our existing supply of Menactra has been fully distributed.
