Organizations authorized to receive COVID-19 vaccines who will be administering immunizations to eligible individuals this spring, may place an online order which will be distributed according to the vaccine distribution schedule.
Pharmacies participating in the administration of publicly funded COVID-19 vaccines to eligible individuals this spring, can now place orders with their respective distributor (in accordance with distributor-specific schedules).
COVax was decommissioned on March 13, 2026. Therefore, immunizers should document administered doses this spring in their local documentation systems as with other vaccines and per professional standards. A record of immunization should be provided to patients.
To support spring COVID-19 immunizations, the Ministry has launched a temporary COVID-19 Immunization Provider Support Line (CIPSL) for immunizers to confirm the date of a patient’s last COVID-19 immunization. See phone number below.
Immunizers who have not started the Panorama Guided Workflow (PGW) onboarding process are encouraged to follow the instructions outlined in the Ministry’s email package sent in January 2026.
Key messages for healthcare providers
Please conduct a clinical assessment with your patients to determine if they meet high-risk eligibility criteria for the spring dose and to assess the patient’s COVID-19 immunization history. Patients should be encouraged to bring their COVID-19 immunization records to their appointment, if available.
If a patient is unsure when they last had a COVID-19 vaccine and the immunizer is unsure if the patient has met the minimum interval between doses, the immunizer can call the CIPSL as needed, to confirm the date of a patient’s last COVID-19 immunization.
CIPSL will be available Monday to Friday from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. at 416-849-9998 or toll-free at 1-888-333-0640. Note: CIPSL is for immunizers only and not for the general public.
Immunizers will be required to provide their professional registration number before information can be shared.
CIPSL agents will be able to search for patient records with the following information: first name and last name; date of birth; and health card number where available.
The Ministry is currently reviewing timelines for Panorama Guided Workflow (PGW) implementation. For questions about PGW, email PanoramaGuidedWorkflow@ontario.ca.
