Do you have old paint cans, chemical cleaners, aerosols or broken electronics collecting dust in your home? Not sure how to get rid of them safely? Don’t worry, we're here to help!
Our team at the Halton Waste Management Site makes it easy to safely dispose of household hazardous waste and electronics through a variety of programs and services. These items don’t belong in the garbage or recycling bin, and getting rid of them the right way helps protect your home, your health, and the environment.
Our Household Hazardous Waste Depot at Halton Waste Management Site is open all year long for you to dispose of your hazardous waste. You can also recycle old electronics at our Waste and Recycling Depot—they will gladly take in items you no longer need and recycle them.

Paint & Stain Sustainably
If you have full or partially full paint and stains that you’re not using anymore, consider bringing them to Halton Waste Management Site’s Paint and Stain Depot instead of disposing of them as hazardous waste. Your old paint can be exactly what someone else was searching for. You can also pick something up for your next project yourself! It’s a great way to keep our creativity sustainable.

Give your hazardous waste a home
If you need a place to store your unwanted household hazardous waste, you can use the orange box, which provides a safe place to store waste until it can be disposed of correctly. It also helps keep materials away from kids and pets!
Pick up one Orange Box per household, free of charge, from Halton Waste Management Site.
REMINDER: There is no curbside collection for the Orange Box. They can be brought to Halton Waste Management Site or a Special Waste Drop-off day.
