As more people choose to live and work in Halton, we continue to invest in our infrastructure to maintain the high quality of life that so many expect and enjoy in our community.
We have recently completed work on one of our busiest road corridors – Trafalgar Road in Oakville – improving traffic flow and creating more alternative and safe transportation options. Here is a before and after look at the newly improved Trafalgar Road:

Our Public Works team is making great progress on other major projects happening across the region. This includes building new connections like our William Halton Parkway project and enhancing the Dundas Street corridor. Exciting work set start in 2022 includes our Wyecroft Bridge and Road Extension project which will improve commute times, divert vehicles from local roads and provide safe walking, cycling and transit routes for all to enjoy. Important programs that maintain infrastructure also continue, such as our Basement Flooding Mitigation program to help reduce the risk of community flooding and our Road Resurfacing program to keep our roads safe and in a good state-of-repair. We are also repairing and installing new watermains across the region to provide reliable access to high-quality water to existing and new communities, such as Phase 1 of our Trafalgar Road – Halton Hills project.
