Tomorrow is International Women’s Day and we’re proudly celebrating the many amazing women who work at Halton! This week, we have been spotlighting amazing women who deliver critical programs and services to our community. From housing and water services to waste management, information technology and paramedics, we have women leading the way in a variety of roles across Halton.
Check out these videos that showcase women in action at Halton!
- Meet Karlene, an integrated housing worker who works to connect people with the resources they need to find housing.
- Meet Megan and Sandi at the Georgetown Water Treatment Plant who work together to treat and deliver high-quality drinking water to our community.
- Meet Shahmeen, a scale house operator at our Halton Waste Management Site, helping people properly dispose of waste to extend the life of our landfill.
- Meet Parvathy and Kristel, information technology project managers at the Region who empower our staff with the technology they need to deliver essential programs and services to the Halton community.
- Meet Krystal and Vanessa, advanced care paramedics who respond to emergencies and provide life-saving care to keep people safe and healthy in Halton.
We’re thankful for all the talented women working in all our programs and services at the Region! Your contributions each day help people to live, grow and thrive in Halton.
Happy International Women’s Day!
