The Stop Smoking Clinic provides free, personalized support to help you quit smoking.

At the Stop Smoking Clinic, you will receive free, personalized support to help you quit. A health care professional will help you:

  • assess your lifestyle
  • understand why you smoke
  • set a quit date
  • choose the right method of quitting for you

Who will be counselling me?

The Stop Smoking Clinic provides free personal counselling by a health care professional certified in tobacco cessation counselling.

How often do I need to go?

Clinic counselling is by appointment only and usually involves 3 - 8 visits, 30 minutes each.

What methods of quitting can I consider using?

You may consider using one or more of several methods:

  • nicotine replacement therapy (patch, gum, inhaler, lozenges)
  • counselling support while on prescription medication, such as Zyban® or Champix®
  • behaviour modification.

The Stop Smoking Clinic offers free nicotine replacement therapy for eligible tobacco users.

Services are by booked appointment only and may be in-person or by telephone. Please call 311 to book an appointment.
