What is an Integrity Commissioner?

The Integrity Commissioner:

The Integrity Commissioner does not investigate complaints about Regional or HCHC staff. Those matters are handled by the Region’s Ombudsman.

Filing a complaint with the Integrity Commissioner

Complaints about breaches of Council’s Code of Conduct by one or more members of Regional Council can be forwarded to the Integrity Commissioner using either the Request for a Code of Conduct Complaint Investigation form (PDF file) or the Application for a Municipal Conflict of Interest Act Investigation form (PDF file). Regional staff will not assist in forwarding complaints to the Integrity Commissioner. Any questions should be addressed directly to the contact information below.

What happens next

The Integrity Commissioner will review your complaint, determine whether or not it is a valid complaint that falls within the Integrity Commissioner’s jurisdiction and contact you regarding next steps in the process.
