This week is Paramedic Services Week, where we celebrate our team of brave, everyday heroes who have dedicated their lives to protect the health and safety of our residents. While we recognize these community heroes every year, this year is exceptional. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Halton Regional Paramedics for continuing to provide high quality emergency medical care and for their incredible response to the COVID-19 pandemic. From being first on the scene of an emergency to partnering with Halton Region Public Health to carry out testing in our Long-term Care homes, your role and dedication to keep our community and most vulnerable safe during this pandemic is remarkable.
