Community Development:
  • A community garden exists within this community for residents to enjoy. The Halton Food Council offers food related programming for children and youth residing within the community. The focus is healthy eating related to the vegetables grown in the garden. Children and youth learn the basics of growing food, gardening, harvesting and making various foods with the produce harvested from the garden.
  • St. Jude’s Church offers a free weekly BBQ program for residents during the summer months. The goal is to encourage residents to meet their neighbors, encourage positive social interactions and to strengthen their sense of belonging to a community.
