Developing in Halton

Learn about our potential 2023 Servicing Allocation Program

Halton Region supports new housing development based on pledges endorsed by our Local Municipalities. We are exploring servicing allocation options to expedite these projects and meet related infrastructure demands.

In May 2023, Halton Region released a Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) to the development community. In July 2023, Halton Regional Council approved the advancement of a new Allocation Program following high interest from developers.

Staff are developing the parameters of the new program, and will share an update at a second Developer Information Session. This second Developer Information Session has been scheduled for October 5, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. It will be available to attend in-person in Council Chambers at 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville (Google Map) or virtually through Zoom.
