Halton Region provides a number of services for seniors and older adults. These include:

• Four Assisted Living (Supportive Housing) Programs: one in Milton, one in Oakville, and two in Burlington
• Three Adult Day Programs: Milton Place and Friends' Landing, both situated in the Allendale complex in Milton, and Silver Creek Place in Georgetown.
• Older Adult Advisory Committee (OAAC), made up of seniors and service providers throughout Halton
• Project Lifesaver Halton helps families protect members who may wander or bolt, typically individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, autism, down syndrome, acquired brain injury or other kinds of cognitive impairment.
• Three choices for long term care:
  • Allendale in Milton
  • Creek Way Village in Burlington
  • Post Inn Village in Oakville

Willow Foundation - formerly the Allendale Foundation

The Willow Foundation (external link) has provided financial support for many projects related to Allendale, Creek Way Village and Post Inn Village residents & Adult Day Program participants.

• All Services for Seniors programs are accredited by CARF (external link) .
• The Ontario Association of Non-profit Homes and Services for Seniors (OANHSS) (external link) is a provincial organization that represents long-term care facilities, seniors housing and community agencies that provide care and services to seniors. The Association operates independent of government and has a membership of 470 organizations and individuals.
• Seniors programs through the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (external link)
• The Ontario Community Support Association (external link) supports 360 home and community care agencies in Ontario that help people live at home. 
• The Halton Seniors Helpline provides information to assist seniors within the community in resolving issues and obtaining assistance in addressing situations such as; physical, emotional, financial abuse or neglect.
